Hand Therapy
Hand therapy is specialized rehabilitation for conditions affecting the elbow, hands, wrists and fingers caused by illness or injury. Hand therapy treatment can help anyone experiencing limited function in their hand, wrist or elbow.
There are high rates of flu and other respiratory viruses in our region. To help keep everyone safe, Penn Medicine suggests that all patients and visitors wear masks in our hospitals and practices. Patients with a cough, runny nose, or other respiratory symptoms will be asked to wear a mask during their visit, and visitors with symptoms will be asked not to visit.

Our Hand Therapy Program is staffed by Occupational Therapists who have completed specialized training and are Certified Hand Therapists (CHT’s). They are experienced with the treatment of a variety of upper extremity conditions. After completing a comprehensive evaluation, a personalized treatment plan is established and implemented. Our therapists also focus on patient education, preventative management, and individualized home programs to help achieve maximum function.
