Our Medical Staff

Our Medical Staff is comprised of more than 435 physicians, dentists and specified professional personnel in more than 50 specialty areas. Areas of clinical emphasis include: 

Each member of our medical staff must meet rigid professional qualifications to join and maintain membership. Our physicians and hospital administration work together in a rigorous quality assessment program to assure the highest quality of care for our patients.

Medical Library

It is the primary mission of The Medical Library to provide current and comprehensive knowledge based information to the hospital, Medical Staff, and Associates. The Medical Library is committed:

  • To assure access to knowledge-based information that will support and enhance clinical decision making and excellence in patient care
  • To be an on-site information service and accessible reference center which is a fully integrated component of Doylestown Hospital
  • To provide a pleasant and efficient environment for study, education, research, collaboration and reflection
  • To uphold the mission and values of Doylestown Hospital
  • To support the Information Management Requirements for Joint Commission standards for Accreditation
Access

Medical Staff, Associates, Volunteers, Health System Boards, VIA Members (With Hospital ID) and students affiliated with Doylestown Hospital approved programs are permitted the use of the Library. All others will be at the discretion of the librarian. Please call for details.

The Reference Desk is staffed Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Staff may access the library at anytime by obtaining the library key at the North Lobby. Hospital Identification is necessary. Please remember the library is a quiet work area both when staffed and after-hours.

The Library is not opened to the public. Please use these sites as a starting point in communicating with your health professional for your health needs.

  • Kidshealth: Kidshealth.org Provides families with accurate and up-to-date health information. The web site has separate areas for kids, teens, and parents each with its own design, age-appropriate content, and tone.
  • MedlinePlus: MedlinePlus Provides authoritative health information from the National Institutes of Health and the National Library of Medicine on diseases and conditions. Also available are a medical encyclopedia and dictionaries, and information on prescription and non-prescription drugs.

Physician Liaisons

Our physician liaisons are committed to developing and maintaining long-term partnerships by providing the highest level of customer service and satisfaction to referring providers and practices. The liaisons pride themselves in providing accurate, timely information about new clinical services and programs, acting as a resource for referral questions and providing feedback from practices to the health system.

Our physician liaisons strive to provide for easy accessibility to all Doylestown Health service lines and specialists. They believe that open communication and a team approach with our referring partner providers is the key to providing optimal care for our mutual patients.

Ways Our Physician Liaisons Assist Providers and Practices

Services include (but are not limited to):

  • Coordinate communication between referring providers and Doylestown Health specialists
  • Arrange lectures and other in-office clinical educational opportunities by Doylestown Health physician specialists. (Please submit topic requests to your physician liaison)
  • Resource for referrals to doctors and clinical programs
  • Conduct in-practice visits to educate staff on new services and physicians
  • Provide educational materials for both patients and providers
  • Resolve complex scheduling concerns
  • Execute regular communication with practices, answer questions and address any feedback
  • Assist with directory update requests
