Hospice Volunteer Opportunities
Our Hospice program treasures our volunteers as they help bring our comprehensive services to you and your loved ones. We have up to 40 volunteers at any given time assisting in errands, making visits to patients, administrative work, and more.
Visiting Volunteers:
- Make companionship and respite visits to patients.
- Provide time for caregivers to attend appointments, run errands, or take breaks.
- Help with errands like picking up/dropping off library books and dvd's or bringing in mail and packages.
- Help with special projects or events.
- Deliver Thanksgiving and Holiday Meals to patients and their families.
Bereavement Volunteers:
- Make monthly phone calls to bereaved.
- Handwrite condolence cards.
- Assist at the yearly Memorial Service and other bereavement events.
Office Volunteers:
- Assist with monthly Bereavement Mailings.
- Assemble admission packets.
- Provide other administrative support.
