Our Woodall Chest Pain Center is fully prepared to treat cardiac emergencies around the clock. Emergency and cardiac experts coordinate patient care with local ambulance services even before a patient arrives. Focusing on rapid diagnosis and effective treatment, our Woodall Chest Pain Center is accredited by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC), denoting a higher level of expertise in dealing with patients who arrive with symptoms of a heart attack.
Patients who come to the emergency department with chest pain or other acute cardiac symptoms are immediately evaluated; if tests confirm that a heart attack is in progress, the patient is quickly moved to the Cardiac Catheterization Lab in our Heart and Vascular Center for an emergency angioplasty.
