The pandemic has been a time of anxiety and isolation for many; and if you are older, you are no exception! We are partnering with the Doylestown branch of the YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties to promote fellowship and physical activity for you and your peers, aged 65 or better.
The CDC reports that, “Loneliness and social isolation in older adults are serious public health risks, affecting a significant number of people in the United States and putting them at risk for dementia and other serious medical conditions.”
We invite you to get out there and join us for National Senior Day on August 21st — a day of exercise at the YMCA, plus refreshments, mingling, and guest speakers at the Doylestown Hospital Ambulatory Center.
Our Education Outreach Liaison Madison Chapman says, “This day of fun and educational activities was created to celebrate you! We hope you get a good workout in, gain some beneficial knowledge, and maybe even make a new friend!"
Participants in Senior Day will receive a FREE, three-day pass to the YMCA, valid through the end of September, and will also be eligible for special membership deals.
